Become an Ambassador

If you want to support your community and help grow the female ride scene in your local area then apply to become a SheRides ambassador. Just fill out the form below and we’ll be in touch.

Why we need you

Our social rides have been a big hit this year. We’d love to be at local trail centres every weekend but as it’s just Heather spearheading these rides, it’s hard for her to be everywhere at once! Due to an inability to break the space-time continuum, we’re super excited to be looking for SheRides ambassadors to host social rides all around the country and to help keep these rides going in as many local areas as possible.

What are social rides?

These rides are free to join and have the sole aim of bringing women together by creating a community that encourages and supports its members. We’re looking for local riders who want to share their passion for mountain biking with others, meet new people and grow their local MTB community by hosting social rides in their area. We’ll do all the leg work and get the rides promoted, you just need to be there to ride with the crew.

what we look for in our ambassadors

Passionate and competent mountain biker: We want ladies who love MTB, are competent riders, own their own trail suitable bike and have all the right safety equipment like a helmet. You must be comfortable on a range of trails and features, but you don’t have to be the fastest racer, best dirt jumper or queen of gnarly features- you just need to be able to handle a wide spectrum of riding.

Local knowledge: You need to be familiar with your local trail centre; you don’t need to be a local area expert, but it’s important to lead riders with confidence and knowledge instead of getting lost! We don’t expect you to know every centimetre of every trail and sometimes it’s fun to explore new trails, but off-piste knowledge is a bonus.

Commitment: Whilst we’d love you to host as many rides as you want, our minimum commitment is one Saturday or Sunday a month. If you want to do more, or add an evening ride, that’s totally up to you, but we find once or twice a month is generally a perfect amount. Talk to your community and if the demand is there for more and you’re willing to host then go for it.

Community driven: We want someone who's eager to connect with fellow riders, share tips and tricks, and lift each other up along the way. After all, the best adventures are the ones we embark on together.

Do I need to be qualified?

You don’t need any mountain biking qualifications to be our ambassador. Our social rides are not guided or coached rides and everyone is responsible for their own safety. All ambassadors must be aged 18 or above.
